Who is eligible for the apprenticeship programme?
To be eligible for our apprenticeship, you must:
Be a UK resident who has lived in the UK for at least 3 years.
Be able to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, but no more than 40 hours per week.
Minimum grade requirements
You will need to provide evidence of a minimum grade 4 in both Maths and English (equivalent to a C grade). If you do not have these qualifications, we can offer support with one functional skills requirement, provided you pass an initial assessment.

You will be expected to work at least 30 hours per week to meet the programme requirements.
Apprenticeships are capped at a maximum of 40 hours per week to ensure a good work-study balance.
In addition to our core TA/LSA training, your staff will also complete a SENDCo Pathway, led by an experienced SENDCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator). This additional pathway introduces your team to the essential skills and knowledge needed to effectively support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The SENDCo Pathway equips your staff with proven strategies to create inclusive learning environments and provide targeted support for students with diverse needs. Whether staff are looking to advance towards a SENDCo role or enhance their current skill set, this training ensures that every student receives the support they need to thrive.
Fully Funded Training: No cost to you! Apprenticeships are fully funded, meaning you can gain qualifications and experience without paying for tuition fees.
Flexible, Blended Learning: Our course combines online lectures with in-person assessments, giving you the flexibility to learn at your own pace while receiving hands-on support.
SEND Specialisation: Gain specialised knowledge and skills in supporting students with SEND, making you a valuable asset to any school.
Career Progression: With a Level 3 qualification, you’ll be ready to take on a variety of roles in education, from Learning Support Assistant to Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).
What is a fully funded apprenticeship?
A fully funded apprenticeship allows you to gain a qualification while working as a TA or LSA, without paying any tuition fees. The government and employers cover the costs, and you’ll earn a wage while gaining valuable on-the-job experience.
What funding options are available for TA/LSA training?
There are several funding options available to support your training, including fully funded apprenticeships and government grants. These options are accessed by your school or setting whose funding support helps cover the cost of your course and qualifications, whether you’re new to the role or looking to upskill.
Can I access funding if I’m already working as a TA or LSA?
Yes, if you’re already employed as a TA or LSA, you can still access funding through employer contributions or an Advanced Learner Loan to further your education. Many schools are willing to invest in your development, especially if you’re pursuing qualifications like SEN specialisations or HLTA status.
